Richard Earl Johnson, 70, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at his home.

He was the son of the late Edmond Lee and Imogene Bailey Johnson. He was an active member of Moulton Gun Club. He was a retired truck driver and worked for Cross Creek Outdoor Supply in Henderson for several years.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 1:30 P.M at Johnson’s Family Cemetery, 1613 Bent Rd. Wake Forest, N.C. 27587.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Sylvia Johnson of the home, four sons; Richard Johnson (Desiree) of Fayetteville, Scott Johnson of Kittrell, Timmy Johnson (Gina) of Wake Forest, Chris Johnson (Lee) of Raleigh , Six grandchildren; Taylor Johnson (Lisa), Kristy Staton (Kyle), Hunter Johnson, Brooklyn Pridgen, Timmy Johnson Jr. and Bailey Johnson, four great-grandchildren; Chris Johnson, Ryder Staton, Tucker Staton, Colton Johnson and a special aunt, Frances Mary Brown.

Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor, Wednesday February 4th, 2015 from 11:30 – 1:00 and at other times the home.

Pa we will never forget so many memories. We will love you forever and remember all the tips and things you told us. Just this weekend I reminded your son ( Chris) to use only Toyota oil and that you told us that. You truly made an impact on all of our lives. Thank you for leaving this up Eakes we didn't even know it was.

Pa I will keep my promise to you, I always keep my word.
