ForeverMissed

This memorial website was created in the memory of our father and brother Richard Gilbert who passed away February 4th after a long battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. We will remember him forever as a kind-hearted man with an infectious smile who loved his family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, building custom furniture, camping and traveling.  Richard and his wife Nancy were married for 50 years, to the day, as Nancy passed away on their 50th wedding anniversary on September 14th, 2007.

We would love to hear your favorite stories or memories of Richard and hope you post your memory for the family and friends to read.

Love, Marc, David, Noreen, Joyce and families

I can't help but smile when I think of Gilly. He had that affect on people. Such a kind man - miss him and think of him often.

What a kind man. Gilly and my stepfather, Mac, always use to call me Annie. Whenever someone calls me that now I think of them. He always made my laugh and made me feel like part of the family - miss him!

A year has passed and our hearts still ache. Richard was a wonderful man with the heart of gold. I miss hearing him tell us jokes or seeing him dance with his Poopsy (Nancy). We had so much fun with the two of them. Our lives will never be the same without them both. My only solice to this loneliness is that they both are together again. We love you Richard and miss you terribly.

Dear David & family,Marc & family,Noreen & family, and my family. I am so sorry that I will not be at the funeral of Richard tomorrow but you will all be in my prayers. I am happy that the Lord has finally taken Richard back home to his family in heaven. He suffered long enough from that terrible disease which robbed him of his dignity. Love & Prayers to all, Joyce

I have so many fond memories of Gilly and Nancy. I will always have a special place in my heart for both of them - they treated me like family. Gilly was a very special person and always made me smile. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you, Marc, David and families.

Our hearts are full of sadness with the passing of a wonderful man. Richard and Nancy were like a member of our family. We have had a hole in our heart since the passing of Nancy. Our only smile is knowing that Richard and Nancy are together again. The memories we have will last forever. Our deepest sympathy to the entire family. God speed dear friend, you will be missed.
