Leave a tributeWishing you could walk with me and hold my hand like you used to.
Love you,
The simple way we'd talk while walking around the property or the swap meet.
sometimes it would be breakfast. You would listen.then ask what I might do.
Only if I asked, you would give advice. You always told the truth. Sometimes not want I wanted to here, but what I needed. I could really use some daddy time.
If you've been watching, then you know what I need. I could really use one of those walks. I have questions only you can answer.
I'd like to think you're taking your walks with Jesus now.
I miss you, love you too
I know you both watch over us still.
Love you forever! Jeanna
You are missed. I love you!

Richard was a precious man. It was so wonderful to be part of a Bible study in Rich and Barbara's home when they were in Sonora. That Bible study became like family to us, and both Rich and Barbara were always gracious hosts.
You will forever hold a place in our hearts. Our prayers are with Barbara and all of your family as you go through this time of loss.
Lots of love,
John and Karen Jaco
He always found a way to tease others, and got such a kick out of it!
He was a brave man, and I have learned from him. He will be missed.
Diana and Steve Weston Rest in peace, Richard.
My dad was a man of few words, but if you were lucky enough to be loved by him, you knew it.
My dad made sure to make time for one on one time with me. These are some of my favorite memories. We were both very quiet people, but When it was just the two of us,we both opened up and had the best time together. We would walk, talk and ignore the world around us. He had a way of making me feel special and important. My dad saw a part of me that no one else ever has.
I will miss him so much!

We will always remember the fun we had in the pool, and how Richard would always tell me when Ken wasn't walking in the pool. Ken would pick on him for being in the navy, He liked him because he was so much older. (Two months) K & G
the reindeer that Rich won and gave to me. You are in my thoughts

Richard touched so many hearts at KRMC, especially mine. I will miss teasing him about signing in - I was so proud when he mastered the computer! I will miss his kindness, his big heart and his wonderful smile. Bless you Barbara. Lots of love, Leana Asplin

My 17th Birthday
One of my dad's favorite things to do was go out to eat. So, my 17th birthday provided the perfect opportunity to do just that. Dad, mom and I went to Anthony's on Redondo Beach Pier. We were there when they opened for dinner and were seated next to a glass sliding door that opened out to the ocean. There was a walk around ledge around the whole building (maybe so they could wash the windows???). They had ordered wine and were about a glass each into the carafe, when this seagull walked up to the door and appeared to be coming inside. Dad say "shoo" and the bird didn't flinch, just kept coming. Dad grabbed for the door to shut it and barely touched the handle when the whole glass door started to fall out towards the ocean. Dad was grabbing at it and saying things like...oh, oh, oops, uh, uh....mom (after having some wine) started giggling like a little girl. Me, being 17, was utterly and terribly horrified, and just slide down in my chair praying no one was looking. It was all happening in slow motion. I watched as the door toppled out into the ocean. We had already placed our order for dinner and was wondering if there would be a charge for a door on the bill. Our food wasn't coming out and neither was anyone else's. We see two guys walk out onto the ledge (in swimming trunks) and dive into the ocean. We watched as they walked up on the beach with the unbroken door. The waitress watched us watching the guys and then came by our table and apologized for the delay as the cooks were retrieving the door....must have happened often because they had swim trunks ready to go. They didn't charge us for the door as it was confirmed that they did indeed have a problem with the door. Needless to say, this was the most memorable birthday that I ever had.
