The Great humor & Fun of Richard

June 17, 2016

I met Rich in 1999 toward the beginning of October.. I thought ,"Gee, here's a very genuine ,outgoing, gregarious, fellow "..He had sort of rough edges on his personality,  not a frail person by any means, but the more I saw of him the more I liked him..He certainly appeared like a jock..Well built , seemed solid as a rock, & becoming very endearing to me.. We became ever so close thru the years..There was always humor between us two..A number of times~ being in a movie theater ,people would ask us to either shut up or move to other seating : ) we were laughing so hard..OOPS..The man may have been a tad older than myself or a bit moreso, but he acted more like he was in his 50's to me even his last months ! He was as genuine as the days are long, a True Patriot as we talked so much about the government.: ( or total lack of..Because he wasn't a dainty man,Lol ,once he walked right though my new screen door at my new townhouse;..which was OK, as I always forgave him..Dancing however, was a different story ,Lol..Oh Richard ,my love, you are already so missed ,but we know, we all know you gotta be at Peace now & in a great place ! ..Lovingly..Jan W.

MY WAY

June 16, 2016
And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows and did it my way yes I did it my way...   Dedicated with love to my brother.......this defines his life......Love,
Sis
