When one wants to see what a churchman is, what a true disciple is, what a person is, all we need do is to point at Dick, a life shared in love. Go with God, my friend.

1975 I met Richard, he was my pastor and soon after became my friend.  Even though he and Phyllis moved away, they were always in our heart and in our prayers. There is where he will always remain. In a twinkle of an eye we will be together again. He was such a fun and loving person and he brought a lot of joy to all of us. Peace, love and prayer during this difficult time. Helen

Dick was a "churchman" from the old days expression. A "churchman" was a man that joyfully participated in church ministries from the local level to the national. Such a man wasn't a party line guy, he cared for God's church enough to speak against the party line. May Dick's memory inspire us to love God's church in the same way.
