King Richard III

Richard Plantagenet was King of England for two years between 1483-1485.  The son of Richard Plantagenet, Duke of York and Cecily Neville and younger brother of King Edward IV. Richard was born at Fotheringhay Castle. He instated democratic laws to England the short time of his reign. He created a court to hear the greivences of the common man, he created a system of bail so people would not lanquish in prison, or have their property siezed. He was one of England's most just monarchs, loyal soldier, father and loved the the people of northern England where he grew up. He was killed defending his country at the Battle of Bosworth and is the last king of England to give up his life in such a manner.
