Richard Arthur “Rick” Jackson, Tyler, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2011, in Abilene, Texas. Rick was 57 years old.Rick was born August 2, 1954, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to E. Leon and Pauline Jackson. After being raised in Louisiana, Rick moved to Tyler. He was employed by Travelers Insurance at the time of his death.Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, cooking and spending time with his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and a good and loyal friend. Rick was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Erni Jimenez-Jackson, his children, son Chris Balliet and wife Stephanie, daughter Courtney Jackson and son Jeremy Jackson and his grandchildren Bailey and Jack Balliet. He is also survived by his brother E. Leon Jackson, III and wife Liz, of El Dorado, AR, brother Johnny Jackson, of MO, brother Robert “Bobby” Jackson and wife Bobbie Jo of White Bluff, TN, sisters Judy Johnson and Debra Jackson both of Baton Rouge, LA, Aunt Winnie, many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.A celebration of Rick’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 17, 2011, at the home of Steven and Tiffany Phillips, 15777 CR 1100, Tyler, TX, 75703.
