Rick was born in Detroit to Sharon and Richard Lichtman.  He was lovingly welcomed by his older siblings, Mike, Kim and Annette.  He then became the "big" brother to Angie.  He grew up in Oak Park, MI and eventually moved to Southfield, Michigan.  When he was in High School his parents moved to Sterling Hts, MI.

He loved music and played in several bands throughout his 20's.  He worked for several years at National Dry Goods in Detroit.  A job he so loved and excelled at.  He eventually took over his fathers Carpentry business.  He was so creative that many times we would ask him why he doesn't create for the customers and let others do the "back breaking" part of his business and he would reply because he really loved his job.   He so enjoyed the look on his customers faces when they saw the finished project.
