His Life
December 27, 2015

Mr. Richards was born in Great lakes, Illinois, on July, 16, 1959, the son of Shirley Labece Auten Richards, and the late, Robert Leroy Richards. He was a Christian by faith. After high school he attended college in Iowa. He was a talented carpenter who enjoyed using has abilities to construct beautiful houses and do repair work as well! All who had the good fortune of having him build for them were very pleased with his work. In his later years he was especially proud he was able to join forces with his dad to form Richards and Son Construction Company. His wife and children were the greatest joy of his life! He not only worked hard to provide for them, but he spent every waking moment trying to think of ways to make their lives more enjoyable. Those who knew him would tell you that he never put on airs; he was what he professed to be. He was a diehard Auburn fan! Always the life of the party, Rick enjoyed making people laugh, and loved making new friends. He was especially fond of being on Lake Wedowee where he loved boating and fishing. His love of life will always be carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Galle Richards of Newnan, GA.; Heather Richards of Auburn, AL.; two sons, Clark Criss of Franklin, GA., and Ricky Richards of Carrollton, GA.; two sisters Windy Richards of IA, and Traci Joyner (Ashley) of AR.; one brother, David Richards also of AR.; and three beloved grandchildren.

Other than his father he was preceded in death by one son, Clint Criss, and sister Shelli Richards.
