Riley Lee Tuck, Sr.,69, a resident of 304 15th Street was released to his Lord by his family on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Granville Medical Center.
A native of Person County, the son of the late Howard Arthur and Bessie Phelps Tuck. He was a member of Somerset Baptist Church in Roxboro, but for the past 20 years his church family has been the First Baptist Church in Butner. He was an avid supporter of doughnuts to the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Butner by Rev. Lenny Rogers. Burial will be in South Granville Memorial Gardens in Stem, North Carolina.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Brenda Whitlow Tuck of the home, a daughter, Michelle T. Lowery (Clay) of Black Mountain, a son, Riley Lee Tuck Jr.(Jodie) of Oxford, three sisters, Marie Collins (Garland) of Clover, VA., Dilda Parrish (Willie) of Henderson, Lisa Whitfield (Jerry) of Roxboro, three grandchildren, Tucker Noah Lowery, Riley Lee “Trey” Tuck III and Luke Michael Tuck and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Arthur Tuck Jr. and Rudolph Tuck.
Visitation 9:30-11:00 AM Saturday prior to the service at First Baptist Church in Butner and at other times at the home.
