Rimmon it is ten years since you all passed away in a car crash. Only 20mins from home. What a shock to us all. Six of you killed, five from our whanau and one from the other car. Couldnt believe it. My son that had fought to live to be taken in a car accident twenty five years later. A lot of whys and disbelief. Why Why Why. You left behind your son and two daughters. Your partner who will spend the rest of her life in a wheel chair. Delain lost his partner and step son, Timi lost her son and you, and Tracey lost her son. The two who survived was Timi and our moko Tobias. Those were hard days trying to cope with all the sadness and accepting the loss of so many whanau in one hit.Ten years later the hurt is still there and people telling you to get over it. Unless you have been through this sort of tragedy you dont know how much it hurts to loss a child. It compares to nothing that can be explained. Love you my son with every being in my body, Rest in peace my angel above.xxxxx

Seven more days my son and it will be 10yrs. How time has gone. Cant believe it. Tawhiao is now 20yrs,Shikyra is now 19yrs and Cristine is now 17yrs. Your moko is now 19mths. Tawhiao is excelling at touch and Rugby, Shikyra is a good Mum and dotes on her daughter, she still plays netball and touch, Christine is excelling at school. Wish you were here to share all these things.

The only person i trust with my heart , you wil always and forever own it. Love that ur growing up but your turning into quite the little gremlin. Love how everydays a new day with you and you keep me on my toes . Love u pretty little lady

Rimmon here is a photo of your baby daughter, as you can see she has grown a lot since you have past. She is now 17yrs. Time has gone by so quick my son. She goes to Uni next year in Aucks. She excels at school and is a credit to us all. You would be so proud of her my son. How I wish you were here to see all that she achieves. She is a prefect at Rotorua Girls High and looks so good in senior year uniform. She misses you so much  and wishes you were with her to watch her growing. I know you are with her in spirit Rimmon. Please help her take the right path. We all love you heaps my son.

Words can't explain the pain and agony i feel everytime i think of you. You were taken away from us way too soon. I thought of you as my own special hero. You were amazing even though we only spent a handful of times together. Those were the times i remember like they just happend yesterday. I am still trying to get my head around the fact you will never walk through the door, we wil never have kissing battles. You wil never tel me you love me or you'd never growl me for doing wrong. know your moko Shakeila Rimaania-kritasha Ariana is growing and learning new things everyday. She is now 19 months and im sad because you dont get to see her grow. You would absolutely admire and adore her. I plan on sharing each and every memory of yours with her. You wil always be cherished. I love u from the bottom of heart , to the moon and back and more than all tha stars in the sky. Love you xox

Son you would be remembered for your wit and comical demenour. You had such a comical wit about right from when you were young. Ill always remember a school report when you were attending Collingwood Intermediate and the comment made by your teacher at the time said that life wasnt a big joke and you had to start becoming more serious about life other wise you wouldnt go far in life.That proved wrong as it was your humour that made you so popular.We loved that about you my son. You were taken to the dentist to have a  tooth pulled and refered to the hospital to have it done there. In we go to take you in to have that tooth pulled. You come out full of beans and into the childrens ward. The last time they saw you there was when you were a baby and now you were nine. We Dad and I settled you for the night and waited for you to go to sleep.Next morning Dad had just left to go to work and the phone rang. It was the hospital asking what time was I going to pick you up. I looked at the clock thinking that it was a strange time to be ringing to ask me that.6.30am in the morning. I told the female on the other end 9am. We hung up but it played on my mind so rung Dad at work. I went and got him from work and we went up to the hospital, went to the childrens ward no one around so went down to where you had been put the night before. We went to intensive care and knocked on the door. Your room  in the ward looked like a hurricane had struck it. The nurse that come to the door asked who we were there for and told her and that is when we found out that you were not breathing when they did their last check for the night shift. You were resusitated and taken to intensive care. For four days we sat with you. We were told that they didnt have you monitored that night so didnt know how long you had been like that. We wouldnt know if you would be brain damaged or not. On the fifth day we were sitting with you when you come to and asked were you going home now..We talked to you about what had happened but you were unaware anything had. They had the curtains drawn around your bed and you kept saying its Weds and I said its not son, you have been in a coma for four days, even with all the wires etc around you ,you still thought you were right. The man on the other side of the curtain called to Dad and gave him the news paper to show you the Day and date. You were than told you were going back to Dunedin so they could see if they could see what caused you to have a heart attack.The doctors couldnt find what it was because you werent monitored. They put it down to to much laughing gas. You were home after a week and the staff at Kew hospital were given a stern telling off. You ggot over that drama which made us happy.
