Rita Hale Davis 2/19/1920 – 11/8/2014
Rita died of ischemic heart disease on Saturday, November 8, 2014. She donated her body to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Her family will receive friends at 1 P.M. on Saturday , November 22 at the Woodmont Hills Church of Christ, Room 205, 3710 Franklin Pike, Nashville Tennessee. A program in celebration of Rita Davis’s life will follow at 2:00 P.M.
Rita Davis was a Realtor and retired employee of Tennessee Services for the Blind. She served in the WAACs during World War II.
Rita Davis was an active member of Woodmont Hills Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Lee Davis, and her siblings: Robert Hale and Jean Flierl.
Survivors include her five children: Lee Hale Davis, Craig Marshall Davis, Morgan Wesley Davis, Whitney Baxter Davis, and Sally Davis Overstreet, and their families including 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family (per Rita’s request) asks that in lieu of flowers that you take a close friend to lunch or dinner and tell them the things we often think of only after someone is gone, or if you prefer you may make a donation to: Healing Hands International, 455 McNally Drive, Nashville, TN 37211 in memory of Rita.
