Rita Holden Whitt, 80, a longtime resident of Creedmoor passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.
A native of Wake Forest, she was the daughter of the late Hurbert Holden and Mary Baxter Holden. Rita was a member of North Ridge Chapel in Raleigh and worked at CCB in Creedmoor for over thirty years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor by Preacher Johnny Gordon. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Surviving are a daughter, Jeannie Whitt Ferrell (Greg) of Durham; two sons, Dale Whitt of Oxford and Ricky Whitt (Jana) of Rougemont; a sister, Carolyn Odham of Wake Forest; three granddaughers, Andrea Walker, Jade Whitt, Casey Whitt and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Landon Whitt and daughter- in- law, Lynnette “Sissy” Whitt.
Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 12:30 – 2:00 P.M Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.
