Rita Ann Ulrich was born March 31, 1922 at Monterey to Carl and Theresa (Kampschneider) Ulrich. She graduated from St. Boniface Catholic School. On August 13, 1947, Rita married Fred Steuter at St. Boniface Catholic Church at Monterey. The couple purchased a home in West Point, where Rita was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Catholic Daughters, and Guild. In the 1980s, Rita worked at St. Francis Memorial Hospital as an aide in housekeeping for eight years. After that, she did volunteer work, fixing hair at the West Point Living Center for 20 years. Rita enjoyed sewing, baking, playing cards, and being with family. Survivors include daughters Elaine Burke of Omaha, Diane Carroll of Kansas City, and Marlene (Gary) David of Potosi, WI; sons Donald Steuter of Phoenix, AZ, Gary (Krista) Steuter of Avalon, CA, and Kenneth Steuter of Peoria, IL; brother Lambert Ulrich of Omaha; sister-in-law Bertha Steuter of West Point; grandchildren Tim Burke, Sarah and Dana Czerwinski, Kimberly Saterlee, Caitlin Steuter, and Tyler David; great-grandchildren Londyn Burke and Tatum Czerwinski. Rita was preceded in death by her parents; husband Fred in 2006; sisters Irene (and husband Al) Kluthe and Coletta (and husband Edward) Meiergerd; brothers Richard (and wife Camella) Ulrich and Alfons Ulrich; sisters-in-law Dorothy Ulrich and Agnella (and husband Joe) Dinslage; brother-in-law Paul Steuter; and son-in-law Kevin Burke.

I am so sorry. I guess the upside is that she lived a good life. I just checked on Dennis Ellimeier and he died when he was 50. What are you doing and where?
