Robert “Rob” Dick Ayers III, 54, passed away February 3, 2021, after a very brave battle with complications from COVID 19. Those that knew Rob, even just a little lost a shining star and friend in their lives.
Rob was born and raised in North Carolina and will always be remembered for his natural athleticism. He loved all sports from a very early age and excelled in baseball, basketball, and football during his high school years at Southeast High in Greensboro, NC.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Elon College and taught P.E. for a few years. Rob was also well known for his extreme fitness and competed in many bodybuilding competitions, eventually earning the title of Mr. North Carolina. He was often heard sharing diet and nutrition advice and helpful workout hints.
Rob made his life in Tampa, FL, and had a very successful career representing multiple furniture lines in all parts of the world. He made friends easily and will always be remembered for living life to the fullest, his love of working out, dancing to live music, and building lasting friendships everywhere he traveled.
Those that knew Rob, know that he loved making others happy, he loved his family and children and he had a unique way of making the most of small moments and turning them into special memories.
Rob will be sadly missed by his fiancée, Amelia Zambrana , his two beautiful children, Tyler and Cameron Ayers, parents, Dick and Becky Ayers, brother, Greg Ayers, and sister Kathryn Ayers and nephews Max and Jack Steele.
