My dear sweet Son,

It’s been 5 years today Robby that you’ve been gone from us, and still we miss you so much every day. I wonder if by now you would be married, perhaps even a loving father to your own children. So many things you never had the chance to do here on Earth. But then I think about all the things you did do in your short time here, in the ways that you were ‘who you were’ with your students, friends and family. You had such a huge impact in people’s lives in helping, mentoring, caring and loving all of whom you met.

You left such a wonderful legacy for so many in your short life. I still read and re-read the remarks from so many of your friends and students of their life encounters with you; how you helped them, how you enhanced their own lives and for some, how you even saved their lives. You made your years worthwhile unselfishly enhancing others whose paths you crossed – that is a wonderful legacy, one I’m sure I will never reach in my many years.

So as the days dwindle by with our thoughts of you always in our minds, though sad that you are no longer with us – we feel very blessed to have had you in our lives for the time that God allowed and cherish the wonderful memories of having you as our son. We remain, as always, so very proud of you with our hearts filled with love of you. We miss you so much every day, Forever In Our Hearts, until we meet again.

Love, Mom & Dad

I loved that Robby and I had a connection over swimming and KCAC. (My daughters did Synchro for 10 years) He was always interested in their competitions and we would talk about what was going on in the swimming world. Robby was ALWAYS so nice to me! He just genuinely cared about people. Such a kind soul! Until we meet again Robby RIP.

Seeing the number of people that made it to the service yesterday is a true testimony to the impact that you had on so many lives. I have always, and will always remember the good times that we had together Rob. Like our brother Ken stated yesterday, I'm sad that you won't be able to see our baby when he/she finally arrives. And I'm sad that we won't see yours. We love you Rob!!

Rob, I spent so much time with you growing up. I remember how excited you were to swim at 6:00 am every morning. When you showed up you made everything so much more fun and made everyone you met feel important. Today, I have been inspired by your life to show up like you always did!

Rob, you were such an amazing person. Always the life of the party, always surrounded by friends who loved you. I'm so blessed to have known you throughout our time at CWU. You being the DJ at our wedding was just the icing on top. You will be missed by so many people, I know you're keeping an eye on all of us. To his family and friends, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Much love!

Your love for life, family and friends are beyond inspirational. While we selfishly wish you were still here, we can't help but be thankful for all the ways your touched our lives. Thank you for being so loving, generous, caring, humorous, genuine, carefree, motivational, supportive - simply put, thank you for being you and blessing us with years of great memories. We love you!

You have always been a little brother to me. I have so many fond memories of you growing up together; the lake, the boats, skiing, Thanksgivings. You leave a huge void in the hearts of those who loved you. May you be a peace and be watching over us now. Keep us safe and be our guardian angel. I feel blessed having known you and your beautiful soul. Love you Robby!

Robby you were always happy and willing to share that happiness with us. You made us all feel more important than we were. Knowing you has given me a better life. You have left us all too suddenly and far too soon. I loved you then and I love you now. Keep flying.  Aunt Sandy.
