work and then retirement

February 9, 2019

Rob Jerrard did his bit for policing in the United Kingdom. His steady contributions also included heading the Legal Department for Police training and examinations. After he retired, Rob played a full part in his local community in Budleigh Salterton, Devon, to where the couple retired. Rob also enjoyed very much being part of the Budleigh Salterton Bowling Team and had many bowling friends at Budleigh Salterton, Devon whilst Rosemary embraced the Women's Institute in Devon. Prayers for you to Rest in

Peace, Rob.

Rob Jerrard

February 9, 2019

Rob Jerrard had been a naval officer for twelve years and later City of London Police Officer for twenty-five years. Rob Jerrard was born in Portsmouth on 16th July, 1941 and he died in hospital in Devon on Friday, 3rd August, 2018 whilst doctors were attempting to replace stents he had had years ago. In his last years he did suffer much pain from an ankle problem he had since childhood, and in more recent years his hip pain made it difficult for him to climb stairs and so he, with his loving wife Rosemary, were forced to make a hurried move from their cottage in Budleigh Salterton, Devon, to a bungalow not too far away and still in Budleigh Salterton. Rob Jerrard's funeral service took place on Monday, 20th August 2018 at 1:30 in the afternoon at the Carmel Methodist Church in Budleigh Salterton, Devon.

His wife of 35 years, Rosemary, is devastated. His older sister Val, with whom he was always close, but who resides in Australia, could not attend. Rob was the middle offspring of his parents- he has two sisters and one brother, two offspring of his own and grandchildren. He is much loved by all his family and particularly by his loving wife Rosemary.

Rob Jerrard will always be remembered by the British Police he served for 25 years, the City of London Police Constabulary, and by police law book reviewers, criminal law publishers around the world from around the world, including Vathek who published the Police Journal series (ISSN 0012-258X); his police colleagues during his time at Police Instructor Training and Examination
