Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021 at W.E. Lusain Funeral Home and Crematory. Walk-Through visitation will begin at 11:00am and service to follow at 12:00pm. Mask are required for entry.
Robert Bumpus age 72, of Dayton, Ohio, relocated to his heavenly home on March 9, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital. Robert was born Jan 22, 1949.
He graduated from Roosevelt High School class of 1963. Robert was a self-employed a skilled painter. He was a vocalist in many bands in Dayton, Ohio. Some of the bands he performed and recorded with were A Few Strictly Business and the sons of God Gospel Group.
Robert is preceded in death by his father and mother-Evangel & Mamie Bumpus; Brother Charles Bumpus, Joseph Bumpus, and David King, Thomas Coleman, Greg Coleman; Sisters Willa Mae Earnest, Iris Jean Howard, Mary K Henderson and Great nephew Terrill Bumpus Jr.
Robert is survived by his brother Thomas L Bumpus, sister Cynthia(Bruce)Layton, nephews and nieces; Terrill(Eleanor) Bumpus and Andre Bumpus Sr, Antonio(Dionna) Henderson, Cornelius(Michelle) Henderson, Burlie(Amanda) Quartman, Alonzo(Adrianne) Henderson; Vanessa Howard, Latoya Henderson; Special daughter Jada Waters; Great Nephews & Nieces Cherrel Barrow, Brandon Glasper, Andre Bumpus Jr, Ashley Bumpus, Allen Bumpus, Darian Howard-Littlejohn, Derrel Bumpus, Corneisha(Richard) Morris, Dan’Elle Coleman, Corneia Henderson, Cornelius Henderson, Daivan Howard-Littlejohn, Landrea Cannon, Amari Bumpus, Ryan Bumpus, and Johnny Hill.
