Unforgettable Nira and Bob, leaving their mark on earth, how are they in heaven? Fishing? Spoiling angels with rum balls?

Mom and Dad, I still think of you each day and try to make you proud. You really help me to get through challenging times. You were always so gracious and brave in the face of challenges. Steve and I share wonderful stories about our parents all the time, and it reminds me of all the things you did for us. You would be so proud of Cindi, she is my hero. She's always working on ambitious home improvement projects, or volunteer projects like volunteering at a covid vaccine clinic. I love you so much!

They celebrate in heaven, I can hear Nira teasing Bob, and Bob sits and smiles - happily, just as he did always!

Mom and Dad,

I continue to think of you both all the time, and I love you more than I can say. Every time I start to miss you I try to do something nice for someone else. I imagine you are both smiling in Heaven and it really helps. Thank you for being the greatest parents we could have ever hoped for!

Bob and Nira are in good company with other great Mercer Island Realtors, and I assume, that they enjoy making fun of us 'down here'. I still can see Bob's friendly smile and hear Nira's laughter. Still miss her great rum balls!!!

Nira and Bob are unforgetable, Bob for his smiles and patience, Nira for having been always helpful, her straight forwardness, and above all, for her rum balls! Nira, I miss you and your laughter.

Bob and Nira are easy to remember, what a great couple! Bob was quiet and worked mostly out of the office. Nira was much more in the office; she was a workaholic, cook, pastry maker, and a wonderful colleague. We had lots of fun together, as Nira was a great story teller, too. In my mind I can still see her and hear her giggling, Bob just smiled at her lovingly.
Unforgettable, that's what you are!

When we unpacked the Christmas decorations for our yearly trimming, we came upon the different ornaments Nira had sent us through the years from the Seattle area: wind chimes, musical ornaments, etc. and they brought pleasant memories of our trips to Seattle and the visits with the family. They were very fond and proud of Cindi and Randi, and shared many pictures and stories with us while they were growing up.
Through the years Nira and I became very close. She helped get me through the sudden passing of my sister, Ann. Nira would call me frequently and we would have long talks, and solve the worlds problems.
Nira and Bob were great together and really loved each other.
We were glad to share in their lives. The are both greatly missed, but will stay in our hearts forever. Sonny&Manon

Mom and Dad, I miss you so much! You were the best parents imaginable. No parents could have loved their children more. You gave us everything when we were growing up and filled our lives with so much happiness everyday. Even as grownups, we were the centerpiece of your lives. Mom would call us most days or send us notes, and make us amazing gifts. Dad told us every day how much he loved us and loved to share stories about his Coast Guard days and fishing adventures. I think about you all the time and pray that I can live a life that will honor you and make you proud.

Will be missed

December 14, 2014

What a sister! What a brother-in-law! I always admired her voice. I still have the 78 vinyl records she recorded. When our Dad passed, I had the vinyl records placed on tape, what a joy to listen to. We had some great phone conversations that then turned into long (she called) bathroom reading material by emails, weekly. I looked forward to that ding for email.

Bob was one of the most congenial man. I felt so privlegded to have him as a brother-in-law. I am not a good flyer, so we did not visit the northwest often, but my memories will be forever of our visits. Bob had me catch my only samon, he recruited me into a Seahawks fan (early 12th man). Loved to talk on the phone about the Seahawks and the Nittany Lions.

They both will be missed, but our phone chats, emails, and personal time will always be cherished memories. Girls, you have made your parents and we family members very proud. Keep us in your memories and keep in touch!

Uncle Butch
