This photo was taken two or three days after we arrived in New Zealand in 2006. It was taken in a chair lift which took us up a mountain near Christchurch, New Zeland.

January 3, 2012

Kerry suggested we tie a ribbon to this memorial tree in Port Isaac. We all put our names on it for you. You would have liked Port Isaac. X

October 12, 2011

We spent a week in Devon staying at a hotel in Ashburton and went on the steam train from Buckfastleigh to Totnes.

Leeuarden

July 29, 2011

Taken in Leeuarden, Northern Netherlands

Rob was steering the boat and putting his fleece on at the same time, then realised he had put it on back to front.

Thinking of you

May 27, 2011

The anniversary of the day we met and the day Kerry passed her driving test. We all came to give you some flowers today and to be close to you. We love you. xxxx

February 12, 2011

This was taken in Huesden in The Netherlands. There was a small fair in the town and Rob stopped to have a go on the shooting gallery. The gallery took automatic pictures of the customers.

February 3, 2011

We spent Christmas 2006 on Pohara Beach, in Golden Bay, South Island, New Zealand. This was a pool on the beach where the water was lovely and warm.

January 16, 2011

This photo was taken the day after we first met in Portsmouth. We spent the day looking around the naval dockyard and then walked along the seafront at Southsea where we looked out to sea and Rob gave me a long explanation about boat navigation between buoys!

However this was something I later needed to know when driving the boat and from then on I realised that everything Rob said had a reason and I loved him for it.

January 14, 2011

This photo was taken when we were on holiday in Dawlish Warren with Jessica, Catherine and Caleb.

Snow

December 18, 2010

Every winter Rob hoped for snow. He loved it and would always want to go out in it if we had any. Summer sun and winter snow, both made him happy.

October 24, 2010

I love the look on your face in this pic. You look so pleased with yourself. ;-)

Barbecue

October 18, 2010

This photo was taken at a barbecue in Jessica's garden the day before we were leaving to go and live on the boat for a couple of years.

Memorial plaque

October 18, 2010

Rob's memorial plaque in the cremitorium. I wonder what colour the rose will be when it blooms next summer?

Brielle, The Netherlands

October 12, 2010

Rob, always at his happiest when he was in Moonshadow.

Kerikeri, North Island, New Zealand

September 23, 2010

This photo was taken in a campsite in Kerikeri, in the north island of New Zealand. This part of the trip was one of the highlights for Rob as just up the road from the camp site was where he fulfilled his dream of flying in a helicopter. That flight made his holiday and it was good to see him so happy.

Leaving Weesp 28 August 2004

September 9, 2010

Photo taken on 28 August 2004 as we were leaving Weesp on The Vecht river, one of the most beautiful stretches of water in The Netherlands.

Rob and Moon Shadow 8th September 2004

September 9, 2010

Rob and Moon Shadow, taken on 8th September 2004. This photo was taken just after Moon Shadow had been lifted out of the water ready to go into storage for the winter. It was always a sad day when she was taken out of the water and another summer had ended. Here Rob stands proudly before her.

Rob outside the Town Hall in Bournemouth

August 18, 2010

Taken on the practise photo shoot for our wedding.

Napier

August 17, 2010

This photo was taken in Napier, New Zealand. Whilst there we visited the Napier Earthquake Museum which had exhibits and films of a big earthquake in Napier in 1931.

Holiday on the Grand Union Canal

August 16, 2010

This was our last holiday. We took a narrowboat along the Grand Union Canal. It was a fun and relaxing time and I know Rob enjoyed being on the water once again.

Wellington, New Zealand

August 12, 2010

We rode up in the cable car in Wellington, New Zealand and came across this canon which Rob, who always liked any kind of machinery, enjoyed looking at.

Our Wedding Day

August 12, 2010

Not quite sure why Rob is holding the bouquet in this photo :)

Dinant, Belgium

August 3, 2010

Taken in Dinant, Belgium in the summer of 2006, the year we travelled down through Belgium and France.

The Bassin, Maastricht, The Netherlands

August 3, 2010

Rob was at his happiest whenever he was aboard MoonShadow. This photo was taken when we were moored in Maastricht. We only stayed there a couple of days on our way down to Belgium and France. Whilst there we bought some cushions to make the boat look more homely.

Climbing aboard after fixing MoonShadow

Helicopter over The Bay of Islands, New Zealand

July 31, 2010

Another of Rob's dreams was in fly in a helicopter. It was exhilarating flying out over the beautiful Bay of Islands. It was lovely to be able to watch him achieve his dreams and to share them with him.

Mudeford

July 31, 2010

Mudeford was one of Rob's favourite local places to visit for an afternoon out. On this day we went out with the camera taking photographs. Rob also bought some fresh Sole from the fish stall and we had it for dinner that evening.

Queenstown, New Zealand

July 30, 2010

Rob's dream holiday. Rob had always wanted to visit New Zealand and we did that in the winter of 2006/07. We spent eleven weeks touring both islands and visiting so many wonderful places. In this picture Rob is standing against the backdrop of Queenstown and it's magical scenery.

Utrecht

July 30, 2010

Sailing through the centre of Utrecht is a wonderful experience. Very pretty and relaxing. Well, relaxing for me, but for Rob it was a little more stressful as he had the task of manoevering MoonShadow through the narrow canal with it's arched bridges and an L-shaped tunnel, which I must admit was rather scary.

It was a trip that we made again a couple of years later, not through choice this time but because of a diversion on the river which meant that we had to once again navigate the dreaded tunnel.

Woudrichem

July 24, 2010

This photo was taken in the ancient town of Woudrichem in The Netherlands. We got a ferry from Gorinchem to Woudrichem and spent the afternoon walking around the small town and had lunch in The Pancake House. We ordered a large Strawberry pancake and a large Raspberry pancake and cut each of them in half. We both ate half of each pancake. We both enjoyed the raspberry one the best.
