Robert Michael Blackstone was born September 19, 1971, to Wanda Blackstone & Robert Goodson. He was later in the care of his grandmother Aredia Goodson known to everyone as Nanny. Robert loved cars & art like no other he began doing paintings & art pieces with broken mirrors, shattered glass, and shoes in 1992. These projects were displayed at the Dayton Art Institute, where some were sold. A few years later, he started building " Crystal City," which has grown tremendously over the past three decades. Crystal City is on display in downtown Dayton at the corner of Second and Ludlow. Robert, also known as Bobby, Big Bobby, and Paw Paw, was a family man, and his Four children & two grandchildren were his worlds. He sacrificed life-changing opportunities that were too far in distance from them. He had a big heart and was always there to lend a hand to someone in need, as he was a jack of many trades. As many would say, Robert was a selfless, humble man who impacted many people here. he would convey, "Its God's Work." Nevertheless was a man who brought his imagination to reality, inspiring others.


His parents, grandmother Aredia, and Uncle Clyde preceded Robert in death. He is survived by his children Robert Brookshire-Blackstone Quincy Brookshire-Blackstone, Robin Blackstone, & Shataria Blackstone. Children in Love; Khrystona Turner and Jasmine
