This memorial website was created in memory of Robert Hedglin, 93 years old, born on March 26th, 1927, and passed away on February 21st, 2021.
Bob was married to the love of his life Myrna for 39 years.
Bob was blessed to have had the unique opportunity to get to say goodbye to all of his loved ones, one by one. He wanted everyone to know just how much he loved them. He was very at peace with knowing that these were his last days. He was not scared and faced the reality head-on.
Bob had his own little prayer that he repeated daily, sometimes multiple times a day. "Jesus, I trust in you, Jesus I love you, Jesus I need you. Amen"
True to form, Bob spent the last few days of his life making sure that Myrna would be well taken care of and that all of his affairs were in order. "Make sure you get my books out of my desk and share them with family," "Make sure your Mom's brakes are checked out and in good condition," "Make sure the property tax is paid on the house," and many more.
Bob made it clear that he did not want a "big funeral," "no parties," or no "big things" for him. He said, "just a nice graveside service is all."
Graveside service (weather permitting) is scheduled for Friday, March 5th at 12:00 MST at the Hillside Cemetery in Fort Lupton at 13750 Weld County Road 12 Fort Lupton, CO 80621.
A zoom link will be set up for all of those that cannot attend in person. Those details will be sent out via email within 1 to 2 days of the service.
Bob asked that instead of flowers to please donate to the church that Myrna attends
https://www.facebook.com/SaintWilliamChurch/We will be gathering for a small "get together" at their home in Commerce City immediately following. (Bob didn't say we couldn't have a get-together, just not a party!!)
