His Life

A Time To Be Born:  Robert Lewis Denson, born November 27, 1935.  He was the ninth child of the late William Denson and Ada Denson of Meriwether County, Georgia.  

A Time To Gain:  At an early age he joined the Trinty C.M.E. Church in Durand, Georgia where he served until his health failed.  

A Time To Grow:  Mr. Denson received his education from Trinty School of Durand, Georgia.  He was employed at the Meriwether County School System as a Bus Driver (#46).  He also worked at the Roosevelt Foundation until his retirement.  

Those That Preceded Him In Death: Three sisters, Willow Millie, Louise Crowder and Marie McGruder; One  brother, Leroy Denson.   A Time To Mourn:  Leaving to cherish his memories, a caring wife, Mrs. Dora Mae Denson; two loving daughters, Miss Linda Faye Henderson of Durand, Ga., Miss Vivian Parham of Atlanta, Ga.; four devoted sons, Mr. Iegisicious Denson of Rome, Ga., Mr. Convorious Denson of Carrollton, Ga., Mr. Antonio (Dorshel) Alfred of Atlanta, Ga., Mr. Patrick (Teresa) Denson of Pine Mountain, Ga.; a faithful and devoted niece, Lamaya Williams of Manchester, Ga.; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred (George) Render, Mrs. Thelma McGruder, both of Manchester, Ga., and Mrs. Mary McGee of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Mr. McKinnely Denson of Atlanta, Ga.  

Those saddened by his demise include twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren, including Miss Linda Faye Henderson and Mr. Patrick (Teresa) Denson who was his primary care givers; and a host of friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
