  • It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Brother, Son and Husband Uncle Rob. He was an amazing, kind, caring, loving person and lived life to the fullest! One of his greatest passions was dirt bike riding in the desert with his circle of friends and family. Rob is an Army Veteran and was fortunate to touch so many lives in a difficult but extremely rewarding career for many years as an extraordinary X-Ray Technical Engineer. ironically at the same hospital “St. Joseph’s” in Burbank where he was born. He is preceded in death by his Father Eldred Lyle Balzer and leaves behind his wife of 42 years Lynn Balzer, his Mother Helen Balzer, 3 Sisters: Diane Jones, her son and Rob’s nephew Austin Jones, Susan Balzer, Carol Woods, her 2 sons: Sean Woods, Kyle Woods, and Rob & Lynn’s precious, hilarious pet bird named “Newt”. We will always remember Rob’s highly intelligent, hilarious, fun, interesting knowledgeable and colorful sense of presence and humor. He loved everyone close to him. “Gone Too Soon!” We all love and miss you dearly brother Robby. God Bless! Your sister, Diane

Today you would have turned 66 and probably been rolling your eyes at another silly birthday card from me, but in lieu of the card, I will shed a few tears and tell you how much I miss you and think about All the fun and crazy things we did together. I sorely miss you little brother. Happy Birthday! R.I.P.  ❤️

Rob,
You're gone too soon. I've been missing your presence in the operating room since you left St. Joe's. Your funny sense of humor, your sarcasm (to match mine) and your energy. We had some fun and I'm sorry we will never be able to reminisce. Looking at the pictures from your life remind me of what I loved about you and Lynn. It looks like you had some really good times with your family and friends. I will miss you.
