Robert Henry McKinley, 82, of Brooklyn, NY passed away on July 2, 2018.

Beloved husband of 57 years to Josephine (nee Esposito) McKinley, whom he married on November 19, 1960. Devoted father of Madeline Apollo (Edgar W.), Maryann Thornton (Shaun), and Robert McKinley, III (Tina, nee Ficalora). Loving grandfather of Emily Apollo, Sarah Apollo, Robert McKinley, IV, and Christy McKinley. Dear brother of Kathleen O’Conner, Mary Grunder, the late Thomas McKinley and the late Joan Imburgia. Special uncle to Karen O’Conner, Nancy O’Conner, Patricia O’Conner, John Grunder, Mary Grunder, Michelle (Imburgia) Falconite and the late Terence O’Conner. Mr. McKinley was also predeceased by his parents, Robert Henry and Madeline (Kumzelman) McKinley.

He was a carpenter by trade and a proud US Army Sgt., serving from 1955-1957.

Viewing Friday, July 6, 2018 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main St., Babylon, NY, 11702, with the Funeral Service beginning at 12:30pm. Interment Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd., Calverton, NY 11933.
