Robert “Bob” L. Zobel, 79 of Port Charlotte Florida formerly of Long Island, NY passed away on Saturday November 25th, 2017 peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family after a 3 year battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

 Bob was born in St. Albans NY. He was the owner and broker of Zobel Real Estate that was established in NY in 1965.  In 1979 he relocated to Port Charlotte with his daughter Laurie and son Rob where he continued Zobel Real Estate.  His daughter Laurie continues today as owner broker.

He enjoyed singing and was a member of The Barber Shop Quartet and North Port Chorale.   He was also a member of The Unity Church of Venice.

Bob semi retired to Hiawassee GA in 2006 where he enjoyed living in the mountains, driving his corvette and his favorite cat Woody 2 Shoes.

He is survived by his loving daughter Laurie (Mark) Zobel Starkey of North Port FL, loving son Rob Zobel of Port Charlotte FL,  his grandsons Shane Zobel of Orlando FL, Braden Zobel of Port Charlotte FL and Zachary Starkey of North Port FL . Sister Catherine (Don) Peterson of Melbourne FL and Brother Dr. George (Norma) Zobel of Jackson, NJ.  He was predeceased by his parents.
