Pappy
Pappy was very special to me…Not only was Pappy my dad, but he was my roommate and best friend.
At the end of 1999 Dad moved out to Oceanside, California with me and we became roommates and In 2003 we moved up to Big Bear Lake. I was blessed to have an opportunity to bond with Pappy and have many fond memories. His favorite saying was: PLEASANT GOOD MORNING …..and he would say that to anyone he talked to anytime of the day….That was his gig…..PLEASANT GOOD MORNING BOB GRAY….!
I have never met anyone as humble, generous and caring as my dad… Merlin our family pet was Pappy’s constant companion and they took their daily walk 3 times a day like clockwork. Pappy was an avid reader and would burn through 2 to 3 books a week. Summer time he would sit out on the deck, and anyone walking by would end up chatting with Pappy and get the PLEASANT GOOD MORNING BOB GRAY.
Pappy I love you more than you know and miss you every Day….
Thanks for always being there for me and in my corner no matter what I did…
RIP my special friend….Jay
