Papa, today marks 35 years since you went home to be with the Lord in heaven. It seems like yesterday. I remember going to work with you on April 13, 1987 and how you were thanking all your customers for their faithfulness to you for several decades, giving them hugs and big smiles with great humility. Then I saw you give one big smile and then a great laughter. It seems like you saw heaven and you were happy. I remember that you said goodbye to me and smiled continuously at me that night on April 13, 1987 as I fried plantains in the kitchen and then walked up the stairs to the apartment where I stayed at the back of your house. Those memories are so precious to me. Well, Papa, a lot happened in 35 years, some good, some rough but God has been faithful and so good. As you know, Yinka and Biola went home to join you in heaven but through it all, God's love, mercy, faithfulness and grace has been immeasurable. Thank you for all your prayers Papa. Heaven must be enjoying you all. By the grace of God we will all sing praises at the throne of God's grace in heaven at God's appointed time.

Thank you Papa for being the best father that God could ever have given to me. I love you and miss you but God loves you more. It has been quite a journey since you left but I praise God for redeeming all circumstances (good and evil) for His Glory.Thank you for praying for me and for the beautiful bible that you gave to me. This precious priceless gift has been my instruction book through the many trials and good times after your departure from earth. The Lord answered all your prayers. I came to know God as my father and my friend through his word in the Bible and faith in His saving grace through Jesus Christ. God's faithfulness, goodness and mercy have never failed me. I am forever grateful. See you in heaven Papa! What a glorious day that will be! We shall shout Hallelujah! Victory! Praise the Lord! Jesus will wipe away every tear from our eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away (Revelation 21:4). Commercial Medicine Stores Limited Company History

April 11, 2021
Writing the history of Commercial Medicine Stores Limited is in essence writing the history of Mr. RO Adebowale as his commitment to the company was total and his total life activities were centered around the company. Pa RO Adebowale's name was synonymous with the company. Pa RO Adebowale, being a pharmacist and optician introduced optical services into the company.
Commercial Medicine Stores Limited was a retail pharmacy establishment registered and operated in Lagos, Nigeria from the period 1958 to 2012. The Motto of the company was ServiceCivility and Satisfaction. Commercial Medicine Stores Limited started as partnership venture between two eminent Lagos pharmacists, Pa RO Adebowale and Mr. Solomon. T. Hunponu-Wusu-Wusu. Both of them had met and worked as pharmacists with the West African Drugs Company  (WADCo)(a British subsidiary) in the 1940's.  The mission of the two founding fathers was encapsulated in the above three words in the motto. The fortuitous meeting of Pa RO Adebowale and Mr. Hunponu-Wusu was of great significance to both because that was where the idea of partnership venture came about. There was a close relationship between them despite the 10 years age difference between them. They decided to leave and establish a pharmacy company to be called Commercial Medicine Stores.
The company made giant progress and became a registered limited liability company in August 1958 with three retail outlets in Lagos, Apapa and Yaba. Two of their friends Dr (Mrs.) Awoliyi and Mr. O.Onayemi were invited as share-owners and made non-executive Directors of the company.Afifth share-owner, Chief A.I. Kinoshi was later appointed in 1983.

Humility in Service

April 14, 2022
From my childhood days, my Daddy has been my Role Model in many ways and I can tell quite a few stories to illustrate the inestimable values he stood for and passed on to me. However, his extraordinary show of humility is one of my most vivid memory of him and I shall illustrate this by an incident that got both of us laughing almost uncontrollably.
One fine day, I walked into my Daddy's retail pharmacy store wearing a pair of dark glasses. As I was walking in, my Daddy started walking as usual towards the entrance to meet his "new customer" with his usual greeting, "Good afternoon Ma; what can I do for you Ma?"  Before I could finish saying "Daddy, it is me, your daughter", he recognised me and we both burst out laughing. He then humorously reassured me that he would be happy to prioritise my needs even though I was not a customer!

Just and true are your ways,

Legacy Prayer for Pa RO Adebowale's family

April 13, 2021

The greatest legacy that one can pass on to his children and grandchildren is not money or other things accumulated in ones' life. It is character and faith. (Billy Graham). Heavenly Father, thank you for giving Pa RO Adebowale your vision for the precious souls that he called family.  Thank you for his consistent prayers. Thank you Lord, for hearing his prayers.   As he departed this earthly home for heaven he surrendered his  concerns to You, resting in the knowledge that You, O God, are sovereign.  We thank you Lord with praises and thanksgiving as an offering of love and worship. You guided him to leave a legacy of character and faith, an inheritance for many generations to receive. Thank you God for this precious gift of prayer and your faithfulness in Jesus  mighty name. Amen.
