God saw him, getting tired. When a cure was not to be,so he wrapped his arms aound him,and whispered "come to me".Just beceause we did not get to be together the last few years I constantly thought about all of you and the good times we shared. You and the girls will be in my prayers that you will soon find peace through your faith. Love

My heart is heavy as I just returned home to Alabama from attending the memorial for my beloved Uncle Bob. I finally made it to His great state of Delaware. (he owned it you know or at least was the unofficial spokes person) I was blown away by all that attended and it was very clear that he was not only loved dearly by his family but also his friends. What a legacy of love he left us.

Don't think I have ever seen Bob without a smile. He will be sorely missed at St. Edmond's, UNICO and all his friends...and, of course, his family. What a legacy of love he has left for everyone.

No words can describe how kind and welcoming Mr. Palese was to me over the many years that I have known Blair, and then her family, and then the rest of the gang at Christmas parties, and then later Enrico and Lucca. It was very hard to say goodbye, but I will never forget the wonderful man, and many wonderful memories.Peace and love to you, Mr. Palese.

Connor and I were very sorry to hear that Bob has died. On most occassions when I sang with St. Edmond's Choir and would come down out of the loft he would be waiting and ask me to sing something. Had I only known.... We will miss his friendship and lovely ways. Aline and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. May you find confort through our thoughts and prayers.

Fudge

April 1, 2013

When Blair and I were in grade school, my mother would make fudge every Christmas, and of course, we shared with the Palese family!  Each time Blair would pop home to see her folks, I'd arrange to visit....and without fail, Bob would greet me with "where's my fudge"??
This past summer, my mother made the fudge for the first time in perhaps 20 years---and now I was prepared for the inevitable question!   Bob loved it, and I was so glad our running joke now had a sweet (and fattening!) ending!
He'll always be "Mr. Palese" to me, and I'll always have warm memories of him....

Proudest Grandad in the whole world

March 29, 2013

Dear Aline, Blair, Sherry, Enrico, Lucca and the wider Palese clan - our hearts go out to you at this very sad time. We were lucky enough to share Thanksgiving with you all in Rehoboth (more than once!) and never have I seen a prouder Grandad than Bob. Lucca is such a lucky boy to have spent the good times he did with his Grandad. I was at that wedding in Sydney too and agree with Maria, that impromptu jazz drumming from Bob lives on in the memory. We are sending big hugs  to the whole family across the world as you come to terms with your loss. Much love, Elisabeth and Frank. xxxx

Our memory

March 28, 2013
My husband, Michael and I remember Blair and Enrico's wedding well. The appearance of sunshine after days and days of rain - the international and diverse gathering for their special day AND how proud and happy and friendly her parents Bob and Aline were. But we also both remember the appearance of a drum set and Bob leading the music with a soft jazz brush number. We remember laughing at how happy he was to be playing at his daughters wedding - never seen a Dad happier! I know another thing - and that is Bob's love of jazz lives on in Blair. Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time xxxxx
