ForeverMissed

Robert R. Incollingo, 84, of Sicklerville, N.J., passed away peacefully in the company of his loving wife, Shirley, and his children, after an arduous year of prolonged hospital stays.

Bob came from the streets of Philadelphia, served his country honorably in the Korean Conflict, and married the love of his life, Shirley Hainsworth, in 1957.  His keen intellect and shrewd business acumen propelled him swiftly up the corporate ladder to great success in his career.  At the age of 57 he earned his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, joyfully fulfilling a lifelong ambition.  More than anything, Bob loved being surrounded by Shirley and their children and grandchildren, and spent many happy occasions with them.  He and Shirley enjoyed a long retirement with winters spent in Florida, and the rest of the year at their home in New Jersey.  Bob was the ultimate builder, who was especially proud of the beautiful wood bars he built with his own hands in several of his homes.  He had a heart of gold; he always kept twenty dollars in his car to give to the homeless as he was driving.  His lifelong devotion to St. Jude inspired him to donate generously to his favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  He was the best dad and grandfather ever, and a wonderful husband, too. He and Shirley were overjoyed to welcome their first great-grandaughter, Petrizia,  in 2017.  His children were truly blessed to have parents they could count on for anything. He will be sorely missed, but his stellar example of a life well lived will be an inspiration to many for years to come.

Beloved husband of Shirley; devoted Father of Robert J., Esq., Karen R. Covaleski (Michael), Denise I. Fertig (Robert), James J. (Beth), and Mark C. (Jackie); loving grandfather of fifteen, and great grandfather of four; dear brother of John (Claire), Anthony (Mickie), and the late Fred (Rita) and Marylou; predeceased by his parents Angela and Jack.
