Prof. Dr. Robert A. Roe was Honorary Emeritus Professor of Organization Theory and Organizational Behavior at Maastricht University (NL). He held this position since July 2009 after having retired from his position as full professor, which he fulfilled from in the years before (2002-2009).

Since September 2015 he was also Honorary Emeritus Professor History and Foundations of Psychology, at the University of Leipzig (D), where he has been a regular visitor and held the Leibniz Chair in the Winter Semester 2013-14.

In November 2015, the University of Valencia awarded him a Doctorate Honoris Causa for this innovative and interdisciplinary work.

During the past years he was visiting professor at the University of Trento (Italy), the University of Valencia (Spain), the University of British Columbia (Canada) and the University of Johannesburg (South-Africa).

In the years 2009-2015 he was President of the European Federation of Psychologists' Associations (EFPA) in Brussels.

Robert Roe was founding-president of the European Association of Work & Organizational Psychology (EAWOP, 1991-1995) and founding-director Work & Organization Research Center in Tilburg (WORC, 1991-1997).

He has been member of the editorial boards of several scholarly journals, including the Journal of Organizational Behavior (USA) and the European Journal of W&O Psychology (Europa).
