2011-06-18 21:00:05I mourn the loss of my brother from Neal Street. I picture Robert running the pastures with Rusty. This is just one of my many fond remembrances of Robert. I pray and believe that Robert has found eternal peace and joy.

2011-06-18 21:44:37We played together as kids, and shared a lot of happy times with the whole bunch of us from Neal Street and Forrest Park. I pray that Robert's soul now rests in peace, and his surviving family members find strength in the Lord, as they too remember the good times. Mike Crook, friend wrote at
2011-06-19 07:26:06When we moved to West Point Robert was one of the first of our class to extend the hand of friendship. Spending the night with Robert on Neal Street introduced me to a new set of friends, the Fullers, the Daniels, the Hales and others. As one of the "Blood Brothers", Robert tried hard to get me comfortable on mini-bikes and later motor cycles. I couldn't shake my fears but he finally coaxed me and coached me until I succeeded. I'm very sad to learn of his passing and I wish for you all to know that Robert was very important to our tight knit group. Booth McKeown, friend wrote at
2011-06-19 12:16:42We moved to West Point in the summer of 1964 and I started third grade with Robert that fall. Like Mike said, Robert had a big heart and knew no strangers. I remember a couple of years later when we were in Mrs. Marks' science class; Mrs. Marks was explaining that each time we moved a muscle, some of our cells died. Robert shot up his hand and said, "Mrs. Marks, do you think that's why I'm so small, because I move too much and kill too many cells?" Robert was a little man with a big heart. Marshall Sapp friend wrote at
2011-06-19 21:35:23Robert and I spent countless hours roaming the woods behind Neal Street on motorcyles when we were almost old enough and watched from a hill overlooking the river while the Corp of Engineers built the West Point dam in the early 70s. I will always remember the good times we had as we grew up. May God be with him now! Kenneth Hoats, friend wrote at
2011-06-20 09:54:41I remember Robert as one of the "smart guys" in our class. He, along with several other friends who have commented here, was a good student. I also remember spending the night with Robert and looking forward to riding whatever motorized vehicle was available, most times being led by Robert with reckless abandon! He laughed easily and played basketball with intensity.
I am sad to hear of his death.

2011-06-28 13:23:53As his younger cousin, I had always looked up to Robert as a young man. It was a treat when I was able to ride motorcycles with him, and if I was lucky he would invite me to ride along with him into town. Robert was always greeted warmly by many friends, and always had a joking demeanor. I too am very sad to hear of his death and pray that he is resting in the merciful embrace of God. Jennifer and Ashley Chadwick wrote at
