Mr. Turner was born December 19, 1912 in Heard County, Georgia, to the late Belle Bussey Turner and Robert M. Turner, Sr. He was a resident of Columbus, Georgia for over 70 years. Mr. Turner worked as a Machinist at Lummus Cotton Gin and retired after thirty-three years of faithful service. He was a loyal member of Liberty Baptist Church on St. Mary’s Road in Columbus for many years. As of late he had attended providence Baptist Church in Roopville, Georgia. He was known for his tremendous work ethic and dedication to his family and friends. He will be missed by who knew him.

He is survived by one sister Jean Turner Clay of Pendergrass, Georgia and many loving Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Ouida Noles Turner, son, Stanley Turner, brothers, Horace Turner and Pittman Turner, and sisters, Opal Turner Vaughn, Mary Turner Wright, Mabrie Turner Dorsey, Novice Turner Coursey, and Margret Turner Elrod.
