Biography
Robert came from a family of seven children . He was the youngest. His
father died from an industrial accident when he was 10 years and his
mother died when he was 12 years old. Bob’s ve sisters and an older
brother raised him. ey were able to stay together as a family and lived
in their family home in Oakland, California. He attended Oakland
schools, Clawson Elementary, Hoover Jr. High and Oakland Technical.
He attended UC Berkeley for a year before he entered the apprenticeship
program at the Alameda Naval Air Station and worked there for 35 years.
He became a supervisor in the calibration lab leading about 30 men.
On October 12, 1957, he married Marie Quen. ey had 3 children,
Valli, (spouse, Kenton), Scott (spouse, Stacey), and Becky (spouse, Tom).
ey in turn contributed 9 grandchildren, Wesley, Brandon and Dustin
Jang; Chloe and Phoebe Lim; Aaron, Danny, Christopher and Joshua Lee.
Before Cornerstone Fellowship, Bob attended Chinese Independent
Baptist Church of Oakland since he was 12 years old. When he was able
to drive one of the ways he served was to help pick up children for
Sunday school, Marie being one of them. Being a small church, Bob had
many opportunities to serve in dierent capacities.

“My wife and I made a decision to never retire from serving Him. Our
children and grandchildren are our rst ministry. At Cornerstone, I serve
in the men’s ministry, the care prayer and visitation ministry…My future
is to serve Him joyously until God takes me home.”
