ROBERT SIDNEY WILTSHIRE Retired District Chief, Etobicoke Fire Department After a courageous battle with cancer on May 7, 2011 at the Trillium Health Care Centre, Mississauga in his 80th year. Beloved husband of the late Alvera who predeceased him in 1995. Cherished father of Sandra Wiltshire, Greg Wiltshire (Heather) and Diana Gliese (David). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Melanie Speiran (Sean), Lindsay Brown (Grant), Crystal Gliese, Adam Gliese (Sabrina) and Spencer Wiltshire (Krissy). Beloved great-grandfather of Alyssa, Madison, Gwenyth, Douglas and Baby to be. He is survived by his sister Hazel Lodge and her family. He will be fondly remembered by his many family and friends. Robert faithfully served the Etobicoke Fire Department for 32 years and retired as District Fire Chief and was a recipient on several occasions of the Honorary Fire Service Medal. He also served his country in the Merchant Marines and Royal Canadian Air Force and worked for AV Roe during the AVRO project until its cancellation. Private cremation with a memorial service to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
