Roberta C. Ballou-Franks, loving wife and companion, of Harker Heights, passed away on February 26, 2019. She was  born in Athol, MA. on April 22, 1961. She was a Proud ARMY Veteran and entered the Army in 1979 and the National Guard in 1986. She was survived by her husband of 22 years, Edward Franks. She is also survived by her mother, Bettejo-an Ballou and her brother, Jason Ballou of Greenfield, MA. She also leaves her aunts, Glenda Guertin, Rita Breghio and Ann Hager-Koshar, and uncles Stephen Ballou and Robert Hagar, as well as several cousins and friends who will miss her. She is interred in the Texas State Veteran's Cemetery near Killeen Texas. She is in section:A16 Row:B Space:36, there at the cemetery.

She was a truly wonderful Human being. I just found out she was gone, and the world seems a great deal smaller for her departure. There are too few good ones out there. The picture is so apt: she was a light in the darkness.
