Remembering: Family visits as children, trying to dam the Guadeloupe River at Babi and Ruthie's, the big family reunion at the Dabb's Hotel, lunch at the Fed, visits in NYC, and visits with Robert and Christinia in Florida where we'd reminisce until late at night. Will miss my dear cousin.

A tribute to “PaPa”

In the mosaic of my memories, each tile glimmers with the essence of Papa, a remarkable man whose spirit sculpted the landscape of my life. From the rhythmic echoes of our bike rides along the boardwalk to the magical moments of being knighted in Central Park, his joyous spirit and playful heart were the backdrop of my childhood.

Papa, with his indefatigable right hook on the basketball court, taught me the delicate art of persistence mixed with a touch of mischief. His laughter was a melody that played softly in the background of our ice cream escapades, a sound as sweet as the treats we devoured.

A man of profound calmness and eloquence, Papa navigated the complexities of life with the ease of a seasoned sailor. His professional legacy, marked notably by making the Fed's fund rate accessible online, stands as a testament to his foresight and dedication.

Despite the inevitable rush of time, which curtailed the years I yearned to share further with him, his influence remains a constant in my life. I fondly recall the thrill of awaiting his arrival from the train, the strength and safety of his shoulders at the beach, and our shared adventures kayaking and boogie boarding. Each Knicks and Mets game we attended, each dinner at Michael Jordan’s restaurant, were chapters in the epic he helped author in my life.

Papa was not just a grandfather but a cornerstone of my existence. His generosity extended beyond the warmth of family; it was he who provided me with my first city apartment, supporting my educational pursuits and paving the way for my future.

Papa, you are deeply loved and profoundly missed. I carry your lessons, your love, and your legacy within me—not just in memory, but as the foundation of who I am today. Thank you for every moment, every laugh, every lesson. I love you always.

With all my heart,
Trey

We have fond memories of "Papa" with the grandsons: Running, playing basketball and telling stories. He enjoyed good food, good books and good conversation. He was devoted to the love of his life, Christinia, and she was equally devoted to him. May he be reunited with her and may both of them Rest In Peace.

Born in San Angelo, Texas in 1939 as they say in Texas, he became a tall drink of water standing at 6 ft 4.1/2inches
He was very successful from a young age. He exceeded in his education in high school with the best grades ever made at Snyder ,Tx High School. He was a terrific athlete in football and basketball He had a horse named Easter. He was raised in West Texas. He continued with his education at Rice University he received a BA, BS and earned a double EE in Electrical engineering.
He moved to Dallas Texas, where he met my mother in 1973. They were both joggers jogging along at the Cooper clinic. He saw Mom ahead of him and jogged up to her and asked her out to dinner. They were married in 1975 and Papa‘s work took them to London,England for a few years They traveled all over Europe. They took French cooking in France.Sailed all around the Greek island. Papa enjoyed his 911 Porsche had it shipped over to London and drove on the auto bond Holland at 90 miles an hour They ran together 40 years until they had to retire, they’re running shoes in the latter part of their life. They were together total of 49 years till the passing of my mother in 2022
