His Life

Robert Nystrom

October 17, 2015

Robert Nystrom served in the Coast Guard during WWII in the Pacific. His ship was a LST Landing Ship Tank that beached on a Japanese island. It had a pair of doors in the under bow where tanks would drive onto the sand.

Mom and Dad loved to travel with us kids on long trips cars trip to National Parks, Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore. We explored caves, hiked trails, camped in the wildeness, sailed boats, canoed and of course went fishing.

Robert was the Vice President at Tiffiny Decorating Company. There he completed subcontracts on large building like the Sears Tower and the Art Institute of Chicago. I enjoyed working with Bob at Tiffiny Decorating.
