Robert Thomas "RT" Lang

November 14, 2020
Robert Thomas, 59, of Hamburg passed away on August 23rd in Hamburg, NJ.

RT was born in West Germany on an American Army base to Robert Alexander Lang and Barbara Lang on August 23rd, 1961. He went to school at Sussex County Vo-Tech and became an exceptional welder. Early on, he spent time passionately welding custom bicycles for Thruster. Later, he became government certified and worked at Dewey Electronics where he welded components for nuclear warheads. He then spent over twenty-five years working for Bonland Industries with Local 27 in New Jersey as a sheet metal worker. He began his career at Bonland as a sheet metal apprentice sweeping the floors, and worked his way up to Journeyman. He spent the latter years of his career there in the drafting department. After moving back to his roots in North Jersey, he worked as a draftsman at Airside Inc for the last 6 years. He was an avid snowmobiler, bowhunter, car enthusiast, and outdoorsman. He was fiercely loyal to his trade and greatly valued time spent with good friends.

Robert is preceded in death by his father Robert Alexander Lang.

Robert is survived by his children Robert Alexander Lang II and Alexandra Lang, his sister Dawn Larsen, his brother-in-law Timothy Larsen, his niece Holly Larsen, his mother Barbara Lang, and his beloved dog Samson.

The family of Robert wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Fox family, his dear friends at Willowemoc Campground, and his coworkers at Airside for making his life so special.

All arrangements have been entrusted to the DiCostanzo family owned, Lakewood Funeral Home, Howell.  There have been funeral services due to the nature of the pandemic. His children encourage you to think of him often and keep his memory alive by remembering your stories and memories with him.
