Robin was my uncle, though I only met him once, in the 1980s when he lived in Hull. He was eleven years older than me, but we chatted pleasantly sharing family memories and histories. I'd love to contact other members of his family. None are getting younger and I am, at the age of 64, finally a granddad. I'm sure nothing in the past is irrevocable.
