I first met Robin when in Hawaii in 2012. She was visiting her son Paul, who lived on the North Shore of Oahu. I lived in Waikiki and had only a moped for transportation. I first saw Robin on the Plenty of Fish singles site: I hoped someday to meet a woman for a long term relationship. Her photo struck me, not only because she's such an attractive woman, yet she looked pretty silly wearing long pants on the beach in Hawaii ? She was geographically not an ideal prospect, because you can't really drive a scooter from Waikiki to the North Shore !
Regardless, we exchanged a few emails, chatted a bit and enjoyed allot in common. She also plays guitar and was interested to learn a new song I had just perfected: Toes, by the Zac Brown Band. After some time, I felt very intrigued by her warm and fun personality. Flustered though, because her location was far from my home. On my birthday, June 18 of 2012 I threw caution aside and asked her on a date: I wanted a fun birthday ! I sent a limo to pick her up and for us to share a sunset dinner cruise. The driver was charmed by Robin, as most people are, and felt protective of her for this first meeting and date ! He was a huge local and made sure to check me out and ensure that she would be safe. We had an amazing first date and I was entirely smitten: I guess she was too. When the driver called to pick her up at 11 P.M, she asked him: One more hour ? Robin and I had been inseparable ever since then. Unusually we consistently worked together as a couple. Most couples would get on each other's nerves to be together all of the time: We were that compatible. I was the happiest man I know for nine years. I am so blessed to have enjoyed these years with Robin, yet distraught that she has passed, as I feel that half of me, is gone. She will always be in my head and heart.
