Finding Father

September 15, 2016

Thanks Again Robyn,

I have finally found my Father Aug 19 2016, it took 3 years to do it but there were lots of dead ends and lies along the way. A woman named Lisa was the one who decided to use Ancestry and get her DNA done that matched mine. It was from Port Huron Michigan as suspected however it was so strange to find that I am indeed a Native American part of the Chippewa tribe. My father and his father were Chiefs of this tribe. I have no Indian Features. All the pointers like dates locations and the DNA from Lisa proved to be true. It is really that my mother did not know any of this and that she was really confused about the father. Thanks again for the time you spent to help me find Mother.

She Helped Me Find My Mom

January 15, 2014

In 2013 I was attending my Wednsday writers group and I decided to wtite about my Life. I had a past that was unknown and so I needed to find that part of my life that was a Biological connection. When I came into the Geneology section of PalTalk there was Robyn asking me If i needed som help. I passed the small bits of information that had been scratched on a home notepad from my Adopted Mother that was information of non Identifying type. I had the last name (My Real last name) and This paper that had the age of my Mother at the time of my Birth and of course I had the City. Robyn and I both got busy and come Friday that week I had a Name and an address that was surprizingly about 4 miles from where I now live. I called and Visited that House only to find that we were only close with all pieces of information still accurate. The next week I suspected another address that I passed on to Robyn via email and within about 10 minutes I had an address and a Phone number of my Birth Mother. It was 84 years since I had any connection with her at the Hospital that I was given up for Adoption. The story then evolved that I had been passed along to 3 other Foster parents till when I was about 2 got real parents. I am an American and I find from her that I really was based as an English person going all the way to Newcastle England. Getting it wrong the first time in looking gave me the prepared ness to handle what ever the situation was to become. Robyn helped me truly with something that I was not prepared to search with. Her tool set and persistance got around barriers that I had not forseen. For this I am truly thankful. I am still to this day looking for the Daughter of my First Parents with the hope that I find her at age 78 now. I am 65 and have truly been blessed by her generosity in helping me search what before I thought was impossible. She is haunting my thoughts as to what really happend to her. I was hoping to go to Austrailia some day to greet her with a warm thanks. Thank You Robyn for all your kind thoughts and skill.

Geneology

October 22, 2013

Robyn, along with many others were involved in a Paltalk Room, day after day, we all meet in this internet room.Genealogy would be done  by ones who could do research, Robyn was always keen to teach all she knew, to anyone that wanted to learn.
From that room, friendships have been made all around the world, yep we had a naughty corner, & lots of chit chat  and laughter. So as you read we had some fun. This room is still going minus one. Am sure Robyn will give us the answers somehow.  We all miss you Robyn , you will never be alone, while we are all behind you. xx
