Mr. Rodney Heard, son of Mary Edwards and Robert Lee Fears, was born October 9, 1965 in Chambers County, Alabama. He departed this life On Friday, June 22, 2012, at Lanier Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Heard was a very loving and hardworking man. He was a product of the Lanett School System. He worked until failing health. His last job was held at Kenny Knox Tire Company.

Rodney leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Sandra Heard ; mother, Mary (Roy Lee) Edwards ,both of Lanett, Ala., father, Robert Lee (Pat) Fears of Houston, TX; brothers, Johnny (Twyla) Heard, Patrick Heard, and Demetrius (Carolyn) Fears of Lanett, Ala.; sisters, Shonda (Roger) Bailey of Lanett, Ala., Rhonda Compton of Columbus, Ga.; three step-sons, Earl (Tiffany), Corey (Tasha), and Shawn (Trice) McCullough; three grandchildren, Essence, Serenity, and Ny McCullough; special nieces, Stacey (Paul) McCullough of Valley, Ala., Latoyal (Morris) McCullough of West Point, Ga., and Khadija Dozier of Lanett, Ala.; a special uncle, Blake Fears of Lanett, Ala.; aunts, Pearl (Parmer) Elder of Lanett, Ala., Laura Lancaster of Springfield, MA., Emma Jordan of Cleveland, Oh., Rosie Fowlkes of New Jersey, Ora Mae Heard of Valley, Ala., Annie (Donnie) Snail of Lanett, Ala., Brenda (Bo) Gipson of LaGrange, Ga., and Patricia Avery of California; special friends, Joe Cooper, Derrick Morgan, Anthony Carlisle, Sammie Lee Zachery, and Terrell Moffet; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
