Roger Andrew Holub was born July 17, 1963 in West Point to J. Andrew and Agatha (Venteicher) Holub. He grew up on the family farm south of Dodge, attended St. Wenceslaus elementary school, and graduated from Dodge High School in 1982. On September 14, 1985, Roger married Renee Kampschnieder at St. Richards Catholic Church in Omaha. The couple farmed near Scribner, and Roger was a member of St. Charles Catholic church at North Bend. He loved boating, his dog ‘Border’, and enjoyed working on motors. Roger was diagnosed with brain cancer in September 2011 and had a reoccurrence in May 2014. Survivors include his wife Renee of Scribner; daughters Maggie Holub of Valley and Amanda (fiancé Matt Johnson) Holub of Scribner; parents Andy and Agatha Holub of Clarkson; sisters Doris (Ken) Tomasek of Dodge and Jean (Tom) Teply of Clarkson; brother Mark (Terri) Holub of Scribner; and mother-in-law Marion Bukosky of Omaha. Roger was preceded in death by his grandparents and father-in-law Ralph Kampschnieder.
