Let the memory of Roger be with us forever.
Let our memories tell his story...
  • 70 years old
  • Born on March 12, 1948 in Kansas City, MO, Missouri, United States.
  • Passed away on February 24, 2019 in Kansas City, Missouri, United States.

This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Roger Holker who died February 24th, 2019 at home peacefuly, surrounded by his loved ones.

A loving father, brother and grandfather.  He was a true fighter right to the very end. Roger died after battling stage 4 colon cancer. He was diagnosed several years ago and despite the grim outlook he chose treatment. Because of his strong will to live, he beat it and went in to remission for 18months. After 18 months he went for a checkup only to discover it returned in his liver. Over the next few years it travelled from the liver, to his lungs and eventually his liver began to leak fluids due to it shutting down.

I created this website to honor my fathers memory because he was my hero. He was always there when I needed him, he never showed fear or let on that he was in pain. Even on the days you could look at him and tell he wasnt doing well, he didn't let the cancer slow him down.

He provided for his family so we would never go without and not only was he a father to his children, but he stepped up and raised his step son, brother and sister in law. If that wasn't enough, when I had my four boys, he became a father to them as well.

Dad leaving us to reunite with his lost loved ones hurt and he will forever be missed. No one will ever be able to replace him. Although his passing makes a sad, I have to remind myself hes no longer in pain and he is free of worry and when I look at my four boys I see my father in each of them. A part of him lives on inside all of us through the memories we made with him.

We will remember him forever.
