Our dear Obanyon Family, we are terribly sorry about the passing of your beloved brother and friend. We were glad to meet Roger when He came to share a meal at our Home while he visited Barbara in New York! We enjoyed soo much His jovial personality, His stories about the preaching work and challenges He had endured. His kind generous spirit was shown in him mailing our whole family JW.org Shirts and keeping Dave well stocked with pens! It was obvious how much he loved His family as I know He and Barb talked daily, a very thoughtful man. We look forward with expectation when Jehovah calls Roger to awaken from His sleep to a world full of peace and unity. Job 14:15

Roger was a handsome guy who was very talented. I remember when I was in 7th grade and Roger was a freshman at the old Jr. High we use to have dances in the gymnasium during lunch hour. Everyone would gather around to watch him dance. He also had a great voice that was very distinguished. Roger came from a wonderful family and I knew all of them because they were all patients at Dr. Dayhoff’s office where I worked. Barb and I were best friends in high school and we have just recently reconnected on Facebook. I am a better person for having known this wonderful family. I want to send my sincere sympathy to all of them. May your wonderful memories of Roger give you a small measure of comfort during this difficult time.

Some of my best memories of Roger is his big smile, always brought a smile back from others, it was contagious! His kind voice and good hardy laugh! He was so extra kind to those in need, he didn’t say or ask, he simply did a very thoughtful and loving deed, to let you know he was in your corner cheering you on. A gentle man and gentleman with a huge heart ❤️ Looking forward to continuing friendship with him Paradise
