Roger was my best friend, acquaintances come and go, but for a dear friend who would do anything for you, these are the people that are to be cherished. Roger made this world a better place. He made people laugh, and feel welcomed where ever he was. I will miss him!

While we are mourning the loss of our dear friend, we will always cherish his memory,
his cheerful smile and huge heart.
All I can say is, “Heaven has truly gained a marvelous man”.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his dear wife Ginny and daughter, Jennifer. I do pray that comfort and peace will come to you through your faith and friends. Ginny you have 26 years of loving memories to cherish.
I, so dearly miss you and wish I could be there for you. Wouldn't it be nice, if you made
that trip you both were looking forward too? My porch light will be on!
Fondly,
Shirley DeMichele

Clem's Memorial Video for Willy
This memorial video only scratches the surface the beauty of the man himself. A life cut too short. It is evident that Roger believed in Live life to fullest, Laugh out loud and often and Love with all your heart and soul unconditionally.
I will miss him forever, but I know that God will reunite us some day in Heaven and I will hear his laugh and see his big smile for eternity. "I will see you again".

It was kind acts like that which made me realize what a great guy he was. I always enjoyed sitting next to him in the desert chatting over a nice cold beer. He was always a joy to be around. I will never forget his laugh or him walking around yelling "Hey Stevie!" As he was looking for my Dad. I will miss him. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

We met Roger and Ginny through the chair ministry at LOC that they led for so many years. One week during our lively banter while setting up chairs Roger mentioned that he grew up in Webster City, Iowa. What a small world....we had grown up in Iowa Falls only 25 minutes away, our high schools were in the same sports conference. What were the chances of that.
It didn't take us long to find out that wasn't the only thing we had in common and we became fast friends. Roger was a fun-loving small town Iowa boy whose heart was as big as his laugh. He was always willing to help, handy beyond belief and unafraid to tackle almost any project. He was our go-to guy for all of our home repairs and things we didn't know how to do.
In fact, just a few weeks ago we enlisted Roger's help to talk us through a repair. We needed his expertise (not to mention his tools!) to mortar some loose rocks to a fence pillar. He sat in the shade and good-naturedly coached us through the project, sometimes laughing at us and sometimes laughing with us! It had to have tested his patience to watch our rather limited skills but in the end he was pretty impressed with the job we had done. That was typical Roger......wanting to help, willing to help and immensely enjoying the journey.
We miss you, our friend, and know that you are thoroughly enjoying entertaining angels!
Poem for Daddy
Memories
No time can come between your heart and mine,
Though time must pass before I see your face…
I’ll see your eyes, your smile within my heart,
And Memories will restore you to your place.
I’ll miss you, dad!
But most of all, your heart--so gentle, full of wisdom, strong, and true…
The heart that loved and gave, so much & long--Loyal heart!
No one on earth like you!
And though the years pass by like shifting sand,
The shore of time remains the same to me…
I smile to know Eternity Itself
Will not erase one Precious Memory!

Rog loved to talk, he loved people, and he loved to tell stories. He was the proverbial class clown who received great pleasure in making people laugh. Please take a minute to share your "Roger" story. Let this site be a gathering of rememberances and stories about him and for him. Maybe he will have some new material for heaven. See you soon Willy, I love you. Clem
