I was probably Ron's last companion but he was my first. I got a dear John while we were together and he was a great help in keeping me in the field. I will be 83 years old tomorrow and I am sure I have still got a long way to go to measure up to Elder Ron Dean! Heaven is a much better place for having him there.
My sincerest sympathy and love, Ralph Heninger.

How could you ever forget such an incredible person like him. My birthday is tomorrow and that helps me to remember him, I never once thought I would out live him. I will be 81 tomorrow, I just hope that I can live long enough to leave such a legacy as he did. Like our prophet says we need to show more gratitude in our lives while here on earth.

Ron was my first missionary companion in the old Central States Mission. One day we were tracting the slums of Kansas City Mo. We had knocked on the door of a drunken individual and he told us to go to ------So we carried on and unknown to us within a few minutes he snuck up on us, and tapped me on the shoulder & I turned into his fist meanwhile Ron being a large 5 ft 2 steps between me and him and literally holds him off and ducks his blows until the police came.

I am so very sorry that I never reconnected with Ron after my mission but I look forward to embracing him in the next life. Perhaps at that time I will be able to keep up to him, something I was never able to do as we trackted together back in the days of Kansas  City.  Just a note in passing,
