Brother’s Reflections

May 9, 2021
Seems like yesterday
We heard that last soft breath
Free from the struggle
Nothing left to say
So many memories streaming through my heart
Jerky and cots in the muddy green truck
Thinking you were always so tall
Trout sizzling in the old black skillet
Hearing calls for Kilroy and let the fire fall.
Learning how to catch, to block and throw from the ear
Livin’ on Creekside, hiking through the Mendocino fog
Camp after camp, hearing the nonstop cheers
Watching the father, the uncle the proud grandad
Hearing your laughter in the Los Oso breeze,
Sharing stories of days gone by andgood times we had.
Miss you brother.

Ron's love of genealogy researchOne

June 20, 2016

One of Ron's favorite activities for many years was famiy history research and writing.  Cousin Warren Wayland and i were fortunate to share that hobby with Ron.  I enjoyed many hours spent discussing our latest discoveries.  I have included today 2 photos taken in February 2010 at Leland (Lee) Lester's home in San Jose.  We were reviewing old Lester-Spicer photos for an up coming reunion.  Colin Tanner, Linda L Lester, Cindy Cilker Linsenbardt, Ron, Lee and I were there that day.  Good memories.  Colin has scanned manny of the old family photos.

Thank You Michael for the Pic Share

This picture of Ron and Alys is priceless!

The connective expression and emotion goes without saying.

Alys and Ron shared, in that pic moment, a true communication that speaks more than a thousand words!

Thanks Michael for sharing!

Love,

Mo
