Ronald Barksdale (Ronnie) age 59, transitioned from this life on April 20, 2018, surrounded by family at Hospice of Dayton.

Lifelong resident of Dayton. Attended Nettie Lee Roth High School. He was a faithful attendee of McKinley United Methodist Church. He was employed at Goodwill Easter Seals until his health failed.

He was preceded in death by his father Edward (Bo) Craver, mother Christine Barksdale, sister Edna Barksdale and niece Olivia Chapa-Baltimore.

He leaves behind 9 loved children: son Rico of Dayton, 8 daughters Andera of Rockdale, TX, CC of Rochester, NJ, Ronnica, Lanae, Jael, Harmonee, Honesti, and De’Laron all of Dayton. 3 brothers Donald Barksdale, Chris Barksdale of Dayton and Luther Barnes of Las Vegas, NV. 3 sisters Shirley Barksdale, Jane (Darrell) Scott-Barksdale, and LaVerne Barksdale. Tasha Jones who was a devoted friend and caregiver. Denise Barksdale, estranged wife. 2 aunts Betty Whaley and Evell Craver. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

The family would like to thank Doctor Charles Baines, Good Samaritan Hospital and Hospice of Dayton for all the care during Ronnie’s transitioning.
